POSITION: Director of Music

REPORTS TO: Pastor of Weekend Services

PURPOSE STATEMENT: To help people live Jesus-centered lives by providing leadership direction and oversight to the creation of music sets and music volunteer teams of Weekend Services.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS & HOURlY REQUIREMENTS: Full-time, 45+ hours, Sunday-Thursday

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• ●  Work with the Pastor of Weekend services on service planning and ideation, and provide visionary and creative leadership to all musical service elements

• ●  Direct the creation, implementation, communication, and delivery of all musical elements to the executors at all campuses

• ●  Responsible for planning music sets in coordination with Pastor of Weekend Services

• ●  Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, coaching, developing, evaluating, and giving feedback to all

  vocalists, instrumentalists, and campus programming positions at all campuses

• ●  Assist, encourage, and challenge other team members to maximize resources and opportunities

• ●  Equip and schedule volunteers and staff for approved special events outside of weekend services

• ●  Execute SME responsibilities for all Weekend Service Team instrumentalists

• ●  Collaborate with Weekend Services Team staff on all workflow, projects, and initiatives

• ●  Create and maintain talent development systems

• ●  Other duties as assigned

  REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• ●  Passion for a local church focused on reaching a local community

• ●  Honors and models the Staff Code values of Hungry, Healthy, and Humble and teaches/coaches others

  to do the same

• ●  Loves Jesus, submits to the truth of the Bible, lives with integrity, and strives for Jesus-centered living

• ●  Commitment to the Statement of Faith of Grace Fellowship through Partnership

• ●  Puts the needs and desires of the congregation before their own

• ●  Provides a pastoral presence and support for Grace Fellowship and the Weekend Services Team

• ●  Committed to the development of and growth of Weekend Services Volunteers

• ●  At least 2-3 years of experience with musical direction

• ●  Experience with leading volunteers and staff
