If you would be interested in leading a church that desires to move to the next level of effective ministry then Community Grace Church is a church you should consider. We are seeking to have a ministry that emphasizes reaching the un-churched, growing Christ-followers, equipping Christ-followers to actively minister; and developing leaders to own the various ministry segments. The church is currently averaging 200 in attendance with an active kids ministry as well as a thriving student ministry.

We are looking for a driven, teachable person to oversee Adult Discipleship and Student Ministry (Grades 6-12).  Overseeing these ministry teams will require the ability to cast vision, train, equip, and delegate tasks to ministry team members.

Director of Worship Arts

 Northwest Chapel is a Charis Fellowship church located in the town of Dublin, OH which is a suburb of Columbus. The church is led by Senior Pastor Rob Barlow who came on as the senior pastor 7 years ago. The church currently has two Sunday morning services at 9:00a and 10:30a, both of which are identical with a blended worship style. Attendance currently runs around 500 each Sunday for their main worship services.

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Director of Worship Arts to lead their worship ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity to develop a church worship culture. Below are the requirements and responsibilities Froot Group has identified for this role:

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and drive the process of the weekly worship services in conjunction with the teaching Pastor and other leaders
  • Lead worship during services and mentor/oversee other worship team members

Senior Pastor

Due to the ill health and resignation of our beloved Lead Shepard, we are seeking a new Senior Pastor to oversee our flock.

Echo Valley Grace Brethren Church is in a rural setting at the base of a mountain. The church is located between Pine Grove and Tremont, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. The building sits on five (5) acres of land. The building is paid off, but a recent loan was taken out to pave the parking area (loan is with GBIF). The church is on one (1) floor and consists of a sanctuary, fellowship hall, kitchen, youth room, toddler room, nursery, a men’s and women’s bathroom and three offices. Weekly attendance is around 85.

Our new Lead Shepard should have a Degree of Divinity or similar training is, however, a minimum ten (10) years ministry experience is preferred. Our applicant will hold to the Grace Brethren directives, support our statement of faith, and firmly believe in the doctrines of scripture as vital for effective ministry. We are seeking a Pastor who will preach the Bible, the whole Bible and nothing but the Bible and who will not be apologetic for stepping on toes doing it. The applicant should be skilled in hermeneutics and be able to present the message to the body in an accurate skilled manor that will leave a lasting impression that will challenge the flock. We need help in areas of evangelism, discipleship, and bringing younger families into the church. And lastly, he must be an administrator.

We do have an active children’s and youth ministry overseen by a Youth Pastor. We have a weekly Awana program with about 25 children in attendance.

Church Pastor

 

Marion Grace was established in 1985 and has been in its present location, 5 minutes south of downtown, since 1985.   Our church has enjoyed strong Biblical teaching and preaching in a warm family fellowship environment.  Our objectives are: Exaltation of God, Edification of the Believer, and Evangelism of the non-believer.   We strongly support local, national and international missions and are blessed to be the sending church for John and Shari Jones, our former pastor from 1992 through 2016, who are currently serving in France.  Many of our attenders serve in ministries outside the church including Child Evangelism Fellowship, Joni and Friends, Bible Study Fellowship, Royal Family Kids Club, Gideons, Marion Citizens for Life and mentoring at the juvenile justice center.  We have also participated in many community outreach events with other churches and organizations over the years.  Attendance is currently at 60-70 but has been as strong as 120.  We have a strong core of “mature” believers and we have been praying for young families.  The building sits on 4.5 acres and is well equipped and maintained and we have no debt.

We’re looking for an engaging pastor to lead our church’s efforts to connect with our community and reach new people. Ideal candidates have a friendly personality and a demonstrated experience for sharing their faith and inviting people to church. This role requires a person who feels equally comfortable ministering to people outside the church building as they do inside the church.  This person will also have duel role as a second worship leader on our staff, and will have part of planning weekend services and other worship events.

Specific Duties Include:

1)     With the collaboration of other church leaders, create, cast vision, and oversee the local outreach/evangelism ministries of the church. This includes recruiting, managing, and training volunteers in outreach-related ministries and managing the outreach budget.

2)     Oversees the Recreation Director and the Recreation Outreach Ministries of GCC, including the Park.

3)     Works with our Worship Pastor and Lead Pastor to plan the worship services.  Responsible to produce the overall look and feel of one of our worship venues on a Sunday morning, which may include worship leading, coaching other worship leaders, and coaching the tech team in that venue.

4)     Will lead worship at other events outside of Sunday mornings as discussed with the Worship Pastor and Lead Pastor.

5)     Assist the Worship Pastor in overseeing the worship team members.

6)     Will help administrate some worship planning details using Pro-Presenter, Planning Center, and other systems or software.

7)     Responsible with the other pastors to help cover the pastoral load of the church including counseling, shepherding care, weddings, funerals, giving input to other ministries—our pastors are a team.

8)     Responsible to be a growing and active believer at GCC including:

  • must model worship in their life
  • must participate in an adult small group, community group, or accountability group for fellowship and growth
  • must regularly attend worship service
  • must become a member of GCC

*Work week will include all services on Sunday and Wednesday evening and office hours during the week (8:30-4:30) except for Monday being a day completely off of work.  Saturday is considered a flex day, which means you don’t need to have set office hours, but you must be available unless on vacation.

FRIENDSHIP COMMUNITY CHURCH, COVINGTON, OH

Friendship Community Church (Friendship) was established in 1946 and is affiliated with The Charis Fellowship of Churches.  We are committed to understanding the Word of God (Biblical truth), to living as the People of God (Biblical relationships), and to fulfilling the Purposes of God (Biblical mission).

The church is located in a rural setting along a state highway and sits directly between Covington and Troy Ohio with the town of Pleasant Hill just 5 miles south, all three towns are located in Miami County, Ohio.  This country setting is on 4 acres of ground surrounded on two sides by farmland and the other two sides by a small group of homes.  In addition to the main house of worship there is a large yard and picnic shelter that have been used for small festivals, camping, picnics, games and other activities.  Our most recent pastor who was loved by all resigned in late September of 2018 on good terms.  A well respected semi-retired pastor is now serving the Lord and the congregation as an interim pastor during this period of transition.

We are seeking a Lead Pastor willing to live in the area (if necessary, we are open to a bi-vocational arrangement).

POSITION OVERVIEW

The man called to this ministry will first and foremost be a servant of Christ.  Doing so in part by serving with the Leadership Team and the congregation.  He will assume the responsibilities of building and providing leadership to the vision, pulpit ministries and the care and training of the Leadership Team and congregation.  The Pastor will work with the Leadership Team and lead according to the Word of God, the church Constitution and By-Laws.  Additionally, a written commitment will be required stating belief in and agreement to preach, teach and counsel in accordance with the Charis Identity Statement held to by this church and the Charis Fellowship.  

The Lead Pastor shall have charge of the spiritual welfare of the congregation.  He shall preach the Word and have in his care the stated services of public worship and with the assistance of the Deacons shall administer the Communion. He shall preside at all church services and be responsible for its content and quality.  He shall be an ex-officio member of all boards and committees in all organizations of the Church and present written reports at annual business meetings & quarterly Leadership meetings.  The nature and content of the reports to be determined by the Leadership Team.

A prerequisite for Commissioning to Pastoral Ministry at Friendship Community Church will be to complete a resume and application for submittal to our Leadership Team.  If affirmed and hired into the position, intentions of the parties will be that over a course of time an undertaking of the Charis Ordination process will begin with the ultimate goal being to see it through to a successful completion.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Preaching, Teaching, Prayer, Bible Study, Obedience & Discipling

  • Gifted in preaching and teaching the Word of God with clarity and inclined to primarily do so through exegetical study with the end result of shaping a message or teaching in such a way that people can understand the biblical truth for themselves, recognize how it applies to their own lives and are inspired/challenged to so apply it.
     
  • A person dedicated to bible study and prayer who is committed to the lifelong journey of better knowing God.  One who is obedient to what he scripturally knows God’s will to be even as he is open to and diligently seeking the leading of the Holy Spirit in search of God’s specific will for his own life.  And through that refinement is a man who draws on the experience to mentor and intentionally disciple others to greater intimacy and service to God.

Shepherd & Leader

  • Has the heart of a shepherd and demonstrates the ability to walk according to the fruits of the Spirit as established in Galatians 5 verses 22-23; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  And therefore, consistently leads by Godly example.
  • Loves and cares for all people but has a strong passion and ability to reach today’s young families and youth helping them to develop their spiritual life rooted in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their redeemer and savior.
  • Lives the gospel every day with the goal of sharing it with someone in hope of that person coming to a faith in Jesus Christ.  Thus, by example inspiring the rest of the body of Christ to be a witness in their own spheres of influence.  Also, an incorporator of planned training and discipling to enable lay persons to witness and do missions work.
  • Has exhibited strong leadership and visionary skills in past experiences or undoubtedly shows strong potential in these areas; 

    • Capable of being the Shepherd of Vision at Friendship (acting as the primary cultivator and communicator of the ongoing vision).
    • Ability to work with the Leadership Team through prayerful decision making to create, implement, achieve and maintain consensus on a planned approach for how this church works together as a body.
    • Encouraging the body to be active, glorifying God by spreading the Good News of the Gospel, meeting the needs (spiritual and otherwise) of this congregation, even as the congregation is reaching out to support the local and worldwide communities.
    • Developing and championing a vison accomplishing plan that by design has built-in processes, measurable objectives and targets ensuring that it remains effective.  Fluid and changing as necessary but always clear to everyone so that each person has a strong sense of mission and purpose.

Experience in Ministry

  • Experience in ministry is considered a plus but a man without past experience who vets well and shows strong potential may be considered.

Education Background

  • Some seminary training is preferred but a man with no formal education who has other applicable qualifications and is steeped in God’s Word may be considered.

History

In 1946 the church was started in Covington, Ohio.  In 1981 the present-day facility was built and moved into, it is located outside of Covington at 5850 State Route 41.  In 1998 the Troy Grace Brethren Church congregation joined Friendship in membership, worship and service to our Lord.  Friendship has had five pastors from 1983 to present.

As a church we are called to take part in the Mission of God.  We want to show all people a picture of the love that Jesus has shown us and offers to the entire world.  The following is a summary of our annual mission involvement –

  • Women of Grace – Monthly Bible study program March thru November, all ladies welcome.

  • Wednesday evening Discipleship, in process April through September


Our Membership & Attendance

Friendship currently has approximately 62 active members with an average Sunday worship attendance of 50 people.  Our church family is conservative with Bible-based values.  Our culture is predominately made up of Caucasian, rural and towns people with livelihoods coming from a blend of clerical, blue collar, farming, professional & small business endeavors.  There is a strong work ethic throughout our congregation and communities.

Description of Property

The church is located on approximately 4 acres of land.  The main building all sits on one level and is approximately 7,800 square feet.  It houses a sanctuary capable of comfortably seating 85 and can easily overflow into a multipurpose area.  This multipurpose area is used as classroom, for meals (directly adjacent to kitchen), youth activities including AWANA game time, weekly Miami County Home School Social and more….  Additionally, there are 6 individual classrooms, a nursery, 2 bathrooms, 2 offices & various storage areas.

Outside there is one small storage building strategically located immediately at a rear exit to the main building.  There is a nice roofed pavilion & picnic area with attached storage/garage conveniently located in the backyard area that is used to support numerous activities such as those mentioned in the introduction.  There is paved parking for the main building and plenty of nice outside yard area to support times of fellowship and games as well as outreach project gatherings.

Our church is located on State Route 41 between Covington and Troy and also within 5 miles of Pleasant Hill, Ohio.  This primary state route results in a high daily traffic count past our front door.  Our membership lives in and about these same communities.  Here is some demographic info for the area;
