THE OPPORTUNITY IN A SENTENCE:

The Senior Pastor will provide biblical leadership for Calvary Grace Brethren Church (GBC) through focusing on the preaching of God’s Word, discipleship, equipping, and empowering the church body for ministry (2 Timothy 4:1-2, I Peter 5:1-4, Ephesians 4:11-12).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Meets the qualifications of elder/overseer found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
  • Wholeheartedly agrees with Calvary’s statement of faith.
  • Ordained in the Charis Fellowship (or willing to pursue).
  • MDiv (or equivalent), or Commensurate Experience.
  • Excellent Communicator.
  • Passion for Discipleship, Equipping, & Empowering.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fulfill the responsibilities of an elder/overseer as outlined in the Scriptures (Acts 20:28-31, Titus 1:9, 1 Peter 5:1-4, Hebrews 13:7, 17; James 5:14). The Senior Pastor is “first among equals,” and is responsible for setting the pace for the Council and other church leaders to follow.
  • Provide visionary leadership by preaching the Word of God each Sunday through a comprehensive, expositional, and applicable study of the Scriptures – 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-4:5.
  • Lead ministry leaders in developing, clarifying, refining, and implementing a Christ-Centered vision of ministry for Calvary.
  • Equip the saints to do the work of ministry and to edify the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11).
  • Administrate and meet regularly with the church staff.
  • Plan the weekly Sunday worship service(s) in coordination with appropriate ministry leaders.
  • Coordinate and prayerfully develop/plan other ministry programming in coordination with the appropriate ministry leaders.
  • Shepherd the church to love and care for one another as well as minister to the sick and needy.
  • Serve as an ex-officio member of all Ministry Teams, Boards, and Commissions.
  • Develop a community presence through participation in community events, organizations, etc. with the specific purpose of representing Christ and the church in community life.
  • Be actively involved with the Charis Fellowship and Mid-Atlantic District Network.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Officiate weddings/funerals as needed and as schedule allows.
  • Provide counseling as appropriate to abilities/skills/experience.
  • Carry out the ordinances of the church (Three-fold Communion & Triune Immersion) in cooperation with the Deacons.
  • Work with the Council and Deacons to handle church discipline and conflict in the church, seeking to reconcile relationships and promote unity within the church.

Position: Youth Intern/ Part-time Youth Director 

Job purpose: 

The Youth Intern/Youth Director Intern equips, encourages and partners with parents to disciple students in grades 6-12. Areas of responsibility include: planning and leading youth group events, discipling students, meeting with adult leadership team to cast vision and provide training, developing student leaders, and partnering with parents in their spiritual influence. 

Time: 15-20 Hrs a week

Reports to: Pastor of Shepherding

Duties and responsibilities: 

  •  Creates and maintains a welcoming atmosphere for students in grades 6 through 12.
  • Provides spiritual direction for students in grades 6 through 12.
  • Develop adult volunteers and student leaders to reach students in grades 6 through 12 who have not accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord
  • Partner with parents in their spiritual leadership, encouraging families to worship, study, and serve together, along with providing resources and communication to parents about raising children in grades 6 through 12
  • Plans, budgets, promotes and leads youth group retreats and annual trip to youth conference

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum Experience:(Dependent on whether its an internship or youth director position.  2 years in a church setting or youth ministry context needed to qualify for youth director position. Otherwise no experience needed if an intern.

Music Resident

Grace Community Church, Fremont, OH is looking for a man to serve in a paid, year-long residency, as the music director at our Northwood, OH campus- GRACEPOINTE Church, with the good potential for a full-time staff position. GRACEPOINTE is a 4-year old relaunch and has grown to 190+ people with an average attendance of over 110. We have been growing and laying a solid foundation through discipling new believers which has positioned us well to continue to grow even more in 2021. Currently GRACEPOINTE has a full-time campus pastor with the rest of the ministries being led by highly talented and committed volunteers.

Our church is looking for a man who has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, is biblically grounded, passionate about ministry, and can build a team. You would collaborate with the worship leaders from our 2 other campuses to develop the musical worship portion of our services (currently each campus has a 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. service). Unlike the other 2 campuses, this position would also help develop our young adult ministry and student ministry by coordinating at least one monthly event for our young adults (currently they meet the last Sunday of the month for lunch) and work with our volunteer student ministries director to develop relationships with our students. Our student ministry currently meets on Thursday nights along with our other weekly Bible studies. These two ministries have provided several of our developing praise band members.

Purpose:

The Director of Worship Arts and Media (DWA) will participate in the overall staff team emphasis of discipleship and disciple making. The DWA is to oversee the Worship Arts strategy of Palmyra Grace Church under the direction and leadership of the Senior Pastor. This will require a firm grasp of the beliefs, values, and strategy of Palmyra Grace Church and the ability to align staff and key leadership teams with its mission, vision and values.

The DWA will be responsible to create a worship environment in the worship service through leading and mentoring to musicians, vocalists and other worship arts volunteers including, video, sound, lighting, and hospitality team. This individual must be able to play and lead worship from guitar or keyboard.  The candidate must be high-energy yet discerning and is passionate about creative and artistic ministry. This person must have integrity and a heart for worship. Candidate should be technically-minded, leadership-focused, have an equipping mindset and looking to work in a team.

This role is part-time approximately 10-15 hours per week.

The Director of Worship Arts and Media will be responsible for the following:

About the Church

 

New Beginnings’ ministry history dates back to the late 1960’s in Myerstown. As a member of the Charis Fellowship of Churches, New Beginnings places high value on the participation in and commitment to relationships with other Fellowship churches.

The church has declined in attendance over the past ten years from approximately 400 in weekly attendance to an average of 90 weekly worshippers.

 

In accordance with its membership in the Charis Fellowship, New Beginnings holds to a pre-millennial, dispensational view of scripture. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the doctrine of election, but not Lordship salvation.

Penn Valley Church, founded in 1965, is part of the Charis Fellowship and comprised of approximately 250 disciples who are committed to the centrality of the gospel message in our lives and ministry. We are strategically placed to be a regional church planting center, and it is our desire to make a local and worldwide impact for Christ by training and releasing leaders, people, and resources to be on mission.

 

We are located in the Telford/Souderton, PA communities, which occupy both Bucks and Montgomery Counties in the northern Philadelphia suburbs. While originally a predominantly Mennonite farming region, this primarily residential suburb has grown to approximately 12,000 residents from increasingly diverse backgrounds. Grace Fellowship of Kent, WA is seeking the man called to serve as its pastor

Grace Fellowship Church of Kent, Washington is seeking the man called by God to become its next pastor.  We look forward to hearing from him.

The pastor position is a full-time position (the only paid employee of the church) and is the only pastoral position.  The previous pastor retired and relocated.  A retired pastor is serving part-time in the pulpit.  Sunday school classes and the ministries for women, men and children are led by lay church members.  Four men comprise the church elder board.  Church member volunteers also perform most typical administrative and worship service duties (e.g., worship music, ushers/stewards, accounting and secretarial, custodial and maintenance).

The church facility is a well-maintained two-story property owned by the church, in a fully developed residential neighborhood (across the street from a public elementary school) in the city of Kent (population 120,000), a suburb of Seattle.  The church neighborhood is very diverse in race and ethnic origin and has a mix of single-family homes and apartments.

Our ministry serves a blended community of people speaking English and/or Mandarin.  Some church activities and small groups involve everyone while others focus on a particular language group.  Church worship services are conducted in English with a live audio translation available in Mandarin; attendance averages about 60.  We seek a man who will build on our growing church by encouraging and retaining the current church body while inviting others to join with them from Kent and nearby communities.

The church is without debt and has operated with a balanced budget for more than ten years.  We expect future giving will need to grow with attendance, but existing church financial resources will provide a buffer while that occurs.
